hot brown sugah opens her trap yet again

i'm oval

had to replace a class last monday. i had to take care of 3 5 year old toads for the rc tuition class. sheesh! i'd rather take care of fifty secondary school students than take care of a class of five year olds. thank the Almighty God that only 3 little buggers came. the only girl for that class was super noisy and i chose to ignore her till i started giving out the worksheets. the moment i came... she asked her mother,'mummy how comw this teacher one?' followed by,
'mummy she never bring sweets one' and the final straw before i decided to give her a dangerous "don't mess wit me look"
'MUMMY HOW COME TEACHER FACE OVAL ONE' one part of me wanted to bite her while the other part was impressed that she was able to recognise shapes and apply them to other people's faces. heh! gonna take the class again next monday. well, 30 bucks for an hour and a half instructing the 3 toads to do worksheets ain't that bad at all.

anyway, results were released today. i was disappointed wit my stats+ethics and film and hist results. 3 more marks to a distinction. sheesh! nvm! next semester here i come. heh! managed to clinch 3 credits for the two mentioned subjects and psychology. managed to get a pass of 60% for my stalin n hitler hist. hee! oh well... i think its good to be doing my exams during the fasting month. same thing happenned for my A levels and i jus think that i'm more blessed during the month of Ramadhan. woohoo! bottomline: I CLEARED!

hot brown sugah opens her trap yet again

raya

raya so far has been pretty quiet. we normaly go visiting on the 1st day and on the subsequent 2 or 3 days, my place would normally be under attack. however, its been pretty quiet. not many relatives coming over to visit... hhmmm...
on the other hand, i'm sick of the assumption that studying overseas is easy. sheesh! like bro would say, "yep! its easy allrite! easy to fail" to which i agree completely. i detest the "makcik" mentality that gettin ur education overseas is as simple as 1, 2,3 or A, B, C. why don't u try it for urself? oh! and the other disgusting mentality many people have is that as long as u have the money, u can buy ur degree overseas. wtf? if i have the money, i'd invest in other stuff rather than getting a degree. and! if i have the money, why is my father slogging his way chauffering his passengers while all he needs rite now is to take care of his health and retire?
please people, juz coz u don't study in the local uni doesn't mean that u're one of the leftovers of the academics okay. in fact, there're tonnes of ppl opting for an overseas educatioon to break away from the rigid education system here. yea they're implementing the new education system.. the path to take A levels straight away, IB, yada yada yada... but do u realise that these systems are targeted to give chances to the cream of the corp? and whatever happenned to being a wholerounded student where u excel in both academic and the sporting arena?
i do feel that we are becoming our own slaves.. we slave to our specialisation. talk to a doctor about fashion and what u get would be a blank stare. talk to a politician about the weather and he'll balme it on saddam. ask the maths teacher about simple geography and u'll get complicated calculations on how the govt charges u on ur utillity bills. aiyaiyai!
btw.. WELCOME HOME HAZMAN! for those still stuck away from home, enjoy the moment coz its only temporary. *wink*wink*

hot brown sugah opens her trap yet again

men.... i give up!

1. The nice men are ugly.
2. The handsome men are not nice
3. The handsome and nice men are gay.
4. The handsome, nice and heterosexual men are married.
5. The men who are not so handsome, but are nice men, have no money.
6. The men who are not so handsome, but are nice men with money think weareonly after their money.
7. The handsome men without money are after our money.
8. The handsome men, who are not so nice and somewhat heterosexual, don't think we are beautiful enough.
9. The men who think we are beautiful, that are heterosexual, somewhat nice and have money, are cowards.
10. The men who are somewhat handsome, somewhat nice, have some money and thank God are heterosexual, are shy and NEVER MAKE THE FIRST MOVE!!!!
11. The men who never make the first move automatically lose interest in us when we take the initiative.

NOW ... WHO IN THE WORLD UNDERSTANDS MEN?

hot brown sugah opens her trap yet again

its abt time again

kay... updating for the sake of updating only... nothin much to say... been wanting to get my air kathira but still haven't got it. haven't got the mood to go bazaar either. and! when i got back at the airport... no one picked me up. sigh! told ex-housemate (note the the EX) to tell sis on msn that i'll be landing on the 6th nov, 3am. and SOMEHOW, sis got the impression that i'll be touching down on sunday mornin instead. aaaiiiiyyaayai! so when i called my dad, we surprised each other la. kkwwaaa kkwwwaaa kkwwaaa. ok, some health tips...

A Mindful Nutrient
A daily helping of folate appears to help ward off one of the causes of age-related cognitive decline: high homocysteine levels. Folate lowers blood levels of homocysteine, a protein that can damage blood vessels and cells of the brain. Include folate-rich foods such as orange juice and dark leafy greens in your diet to ensure you get your share.
RealAge Benefit: Getting a total of 700 micrograms of folate per day in food and supplements can make your RealAge as much as 1.2 years younger.

A New Attitude
A sunny disposition may help protect you against age-related physical decline.
Positive thinking may help older people remain physically active and strong, whereas a negative mental attitude may quickly lead to cognitive deterioration, a new study concluded. To see the glass as half full, spend time contemplating the good things in your life and try to avoid repeatedly mulling over negative experiences.
RealAge Benefit: Taking care of your emotional health and well-being can make your RealAge up to 16 years younger.

I'm Speechless
When an exercise routine leaves you speechless, you may need to back off.
Not being able to carry on a conversation while you work out may be a sign that you're exercising at too high an intensity, a new study revealed. Talking shouldn't be as easy as it is when you are at rest, but avoid huffing and puffing and exercise at a steady pace where you could chat a little with a friend if you wanted to.
RealAge Benefit: Exercising regularly can make your RealAge as much as 9 years younger.

Veggie Protection
Munching on broccoli spears may help thwart breast cancer.
Broccoli contains a compound that may retard the growth of breast cancer cells, a recent study suggested. The compound, called sulforaphane, is a potent antioxidant that stimulates cell detoxification. Add a new twist to this veggie favorite by stir-frying crisp broccoli spears in sesame oil and garlic.
RealAge Benefit: Eating a diverse diet that includes 5 servings of vegetables per day can make your RealAge as much as 4 years younger.
